Victim Creates Blog To Defame Molester

Blogs first emerged as personal journals. Then as the blogging craze sweeps the nations, many blogs of niche topics suddenly appear. Today a blog has also evolved into a weapon for defamation. No, I’m not talking about all those anti-government blogs out there.

The mentioned blog was created by a seemingly molestation victim to smear the name of her molester. On the blog we can see all his particulars there, including a link to his friendster account. What really amazes me is that the victim actually made the effort of lining up his pictures at the sidebar.

There is only one article in the blog, and the article explains the nature of the blog and its intentions. The article was published on 26th March 2008, at 9:08AM. Since then there are no more new articles. There are also no comments on the article when I last checked.

I’m not one to speculate too much on this matter, as it could be just a sick prank played on him by his friends. If the molest really did happen, the girl should have taken a more drastic action such as reporting to the police or to the university authorities. Posting his details on the Internet doesn’t solve the problem.

Can someone clear the air about this?

This is wrong, i believe the blog was started by jealous person rather than a victim. The blogger write like a male, not a female.

I wonder if legal actions can be taken for this. After all there are no other proof to support the claims.
