My Messy Room
Tuesday, December 11th, 2007 |I’m a procrastinator when it comes to cleaning my room. Especially periods when I’m very busy, I often distract myself from the chores of maintaining the cleanliness of the room with piled up work and research. When I’m not occupied with any work, I would most probably be sitting in front of the computer watching anime or drama, like I have absolutely nothing else to do. To be honest, I would do anything to get out of house keeping (in this case, room keeping). However, due to the fact that my parents actually come to visit once every few weeks (they really love to travel), I figured it was well worthed it to sweep any mess under the rugs and present a clean room even though the cleanliness is only of a borderline standard. Why was it worthed it? Well, in exchange for all that work, I don’t get nagged about being irresponsible and sloppy. The following pictures will illustrate the sloppiness and the need for an emergency Operation Cleanup.

This is classic, the unorganized shelves. All my belongings are skillfully chucked into two bookshelves like playing Tetris.

The unkempt bed. No excuses for leaving the bed like that before/after sleep.

My computer desk, with so many random items it feels like I’m hosting a garage sale.

Finally, a look at the floor, or rather, the things that are laid on the floor. I believe the bottles were on the table until something knocked them down… some days ago. Badminton anyone? I am due to play another game in a few days, and it seems unnecessary for me to pick them up. I’m gonna pick them up anyway.I think I would definitely qualify if there is a reality TV show for contestants who keep messy rooms to see who maintains messiness the most. Man, I could probably just win it!
